Cobb County Republican Women's Club hosted its 1st Memorial Day Luncheon. Memorial Day is a time to honor our service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice to our country and died in the line of duty.

Lieutenant General (RET) James Terry, US Army, from the University of North Georgia, Georgia's Military College, spoke about the true meaning of Memorial Day and charged all to always remember and to honor our fallen.

Please consider donating to a Georgia hero, Major Kevin Jenrette’s endowed scholarship. This scholarship financially provides for Georgia’s and our nation’s future leaders who attend the University of North Georgia, the Military College of Georgia. You can donate by going to University of North Georgia Alumni and Foundation - RISE – RISE  Kevin was killed in action on 04 June 2009 in Afghanistan. Kevin left behind his wife, two sons and daughter.

The Cobb County Republican Women's Club (CCRWC) is honored to award the Babe Atkins-Byrne Scholarship to a minimum of one recipient annually.

This $2,000 award is given in memory of Babe Atkins-Byrne, who served as the long-term membership chair and served as a strong leader supporting the community during her life. This scholarship has been provided to assist in undergraduate educational development of any female who has been accepted to or is currently enrolled as a college/university or secondary education program.
